SAVED founder, Theresa Tavernier broke ground in 2003 with South Florida’s first hard-hitting Christian magazine. Tavernier, and the staff of SAVED provokes readers to become the violent force against evil that they are prophesied to be.

Tavernier, a native Floridian, was born in 1966 to Christian parents and reared in a Holy-Ghost filled gospel church in South Florida. Her early years were filled with gospel music, prayer meetings and electrified services where many were saved and testified of the glory of God.

“Swing Low Chariot, Stop and Let Me Ride,” and “I’ve Got a Feeling Everything’s Gonna be Alright!,” Tavernier remembers these as some of the tunes on which she honed her percussionist skills. The Heavenly Father was gracious to anoint and grant her various musical gifts to serve the people of God through song and praise-n-worship. It was her love of the Church and the joy of the gift that influenced her to play the drums for local ministries.

Through this gift, she has worked with various gospel groups and Christian artists. She has ministered in many spiritual uplifts, conferences, gospel workshops and served as chief percussionist for several local churches. In 1988, Theresa married, began a family and continued to use her gifts across the country performing with The Reverend Timothy Wright, The late Reverend James Cleveland, Commissioned and local gospels groups such as The South Florida Mass Choir and The Heavenly Angels.

Although she enjoyed seeing the people of God being blessed by her performances, her passion and desire for The Word of God far outweighed her love for music. As a daughter of a former reverend, Theresa knew at an early age, God had a unique and extraordinary call on her life.

This call is now revealed as a mission to give voice to the teachings of the Holy Spirit through print media on the deeper methods of Christian development and means to soulful success.

“Saints today need to know that a terminal diagnosis or a chronic drug habit is not an immovable giant.” She believes a fresh revelation of spiritual weaponry, warfare, deliverance, prophetic and apostolic gifts will restore Christians to places of victory and might.

Tavernier uses all her gifts and talents in this endeavor including her keen head for business and finance. She developed much of her innate leadership and management ability in on-the-job training as a single parent. Following a divorce in 1996, Tavernier decided to continue her education to obtain a Bachelors degree in Accounting. She presently resides with her teenage son in South Florida.
