Saved founder and publisher Theresa Tavernier broke ground in 2002 with Miami’s first hard-hitting Christian magazine. Within just a few years, what began as a South Florida periodical expanded its reach nationwide as well as to regions of Canada and the Caribbean.

Tavernier’s passion for excellence is exemplified in her work and in the caliber of ministry she brings to her readership. She has had the honor of interviewing church leaders, athletes, television personalities and politicians such as: Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr., Pastor Paula White, Dr. Juanita Bynum, Martha Munizzi, Kirk Franklin, Tony Dungy, Kurt Warner, Tamela Mann, and Rev. Jesse Jackson just to name a few.

This publisher’s sphere of influence and personal ministry extends beyond the pages of Saved. Her passion for empowering others permeates through all that she does including her support of others who are impacting lives in the media industry. An endorser of world renown author, Dr. N. Cindy Trimm’s, The Rules of Engagement, she has also been featured on television and radio programs nationwide including: The Word Network, Gospel Today’s Blog Talk-Radio (New York), and WMBM’s Sister 2 Sister, (Miami) and has been featured in a number of newspapers and magazines. Her impeccable leadership skills and ability to connect with people from all walks of life has made her a sought-after facilitator for seminars and presentations addressing leadership, entrepreneurship, and singleness in church and community arenas. Her passion to see women succeed in these areas led her to establish and host the Daughters of Lydia women's organization and conference.

A gifted musician since her childhood, Theresa served as Chief Percussionist at Jesus People Ministries in Miami. Her talent on the drums afforded her the opportunity to play for groups such as The South Florida Mass Choir and The Heavenly Angels as well as high-profile artists like the Rev. Timothy Wright, Commissioned and the late Rev. James Cleveland. She has also served as an administrative assistant and advisor to local and national pastors.

Our Mission Statement
SAVED magazine is an arm of the five-fold ministry of the Holy Spirit to the millennial Body of Christ. We aim to obey His directive to pen-revealed knowledge of the mysteries of the Kingdom of God for the equipping of the saints of the end-time age.
